Audit support backed by decades of drug testing experience
Experienced people. Well-supported answers.
From audit notice to an organized response
- Confirm the scope: review the request, reporting period, records needed, and response deadline.
- Gather the evidence: organize relevant pool and consortium reports, testing records, policies, and supporting documents within the audit’s scope.
- Reconcile the records: trace selections, participation, and testing activity; identify missing information and questions that need follow-up.
- Support the response: help your team understand the reports and respond to questions about the program Unity manages.
- Address the findings: help investigate compliance issues, organize follow-up documentation, and support practical corrective actions.
Documentation and technical support
The records behind your program. The experience to explain them.
An audit can raise questions that a report alone cannot answer. Which employees were in the pool? How were selections administered? How does completed testing connect to the reporting period? Unity helps connect the records, the process, and the explanation so your team can respond with a clear account of the program we manage.
Random pool and consortium reports
For private random pools and multi-employer consortia managed by Unity, our team helps assemble the relevant program reports and supporting records. We focus on the requested period and the specific questions under review.
- Pool rosters, enrollment, and participation records maintained by Unity.
- Random selection reports and supporting selection documentation.
- Testing completion and rate reports, with context for the applicable pool and reporting period.
- Available notification, coordination, and follow-up records relevant to the request.
- Testing reports and related documentation within Unity’s management scope.
Our technical support helps explain how those records relate to the pool or consortium, reconcile apparent discrepancies, and identify information that must be obtained from an employer, laboratory, MRO, or other program participant.
Explore random pool and consortium management →A legal defense documentation package, when you need it
When a testing decision is challenged, a complete and organized record matters. Unity offers a legal defense documentation package bringing together all relevant, available test data, reports, supporting documentation, and documented findings for the matter under review.
Depending on the case, the package may include released testing reports, collection and chain-of-custody documentation, relevant program records, and laboratory or MRO documentation obtained through appropriate requests. We help organize the material for authorized review by your organization and its counsel, and identify records that require additional follow-up.
This is documentation and technical support; legal advice and representation remain with your attorney. Record availability and release depend on the matter and applicable confidentiality requirements. DOT testing information is subject to 49 CFR Part 40, including its rules for confidentiality and disclosures in legal proceedings.

Unity’s team brings decades of drug testing experience to the practical issues behind an audit: interpreting program reports, tracing a testing event, understanding a documentation gap, and determining what needs attention next.
We help your designated program contacts work through audit questions and compliance concerns, explain the administration of Unity-managed pools and consortia, and organize the records needed for a supported response. When an issue involves another provider, we help identify the information needed from that participant.
After the review, we can help translate documented findings into administrative follow-up: clarifying recordkeeping, reconciling roster information, and improving the process for future requests. The goal is a program your team can understand, document, and explain.
